The book reminded me of many of the finance dissertations that I have read over the years. In deliberately thumbing an intellectual nose at Church, Andrews reveals some blind spots - he fails to understand what connects Church's greatest work with the early Wright's prairie architecture - land-gripping yet enclosed and interlocking horizontals celebrating the continent's scale. It may not be surprising that the Devil is a lawyer. It's very long and might take time to soak all the information and sometimes technical.
