The book complements existing educational information about board certification, including materials provided through AACN workshops and the AACN Study Guide. They are also founding members and part of the leadership council for 'Be Ready for ABPP in Neuropsychology' (BRAIN), an organization dedicated soley to facilitating completion of the ABPP-CN certification process by competent clinical neuropsychologists. The authors are thus uniquely qualified to provide essential advice about this potentially intimidating process with empathy, wisdom, and humor.. All the authors hold ABCN diplomate status, having successfully navigated the process within the last five years, and are accomplished educators who have trained and mentored numerous colleagues, from graduate students and post-doctoral fellows to professional peers. The authors demystify the ABPP-CN board certification process and provide specific guidance, tips, recommendations, and direction for neuropsychologists ready to pursue the diplomate status through the ABCNHaving a puppy of our very own can be a lot of fun. It is great to find out we are doing so many things right and where our efforts could go further.. overall the book is ok, however the tune selection in my opinion could have been a bit more imaginative,look around there's better books on the market.. Still an entertaining read, and a nice display of misdirection in the narrative. So much history, emotion, and conviction here. Calender is great and I love it, but photos are official and nothing too exciting. Elders like him put tons of meaning into a single sentence, at times so much that it takes a while to unravel it all. It is also easy to wipe clean from food stains and all.I will totally recommend this book to parents for their kids. My favorite part of the book are the protocols for engaging teachers and other adults in my building.. I figure Amazon shows the same reviews for both books because it is pretty much one continuous story. I don't understand everything in this book - but I adored thinking about it, practicing it, sharing it. H
