It is well written, organized and easy to read" Jennifer A. Hoar, Quarterly Review of Biology"this is an excellent volume, and I strongly recommend it to anyone who is interested either in cephalopods or behavior" Michael Veccione, Transactions of the American Fisheries Society . "a masterful workI hope this book will be widely read" Michael Salmon, Choice"For a reader new to the field of cephalopod behavior, and even those who have studied these fascinating creatures for years, this is a valuable information source

There are lots of decorating ideas which is a bonus!. I am not callous. I absolutely loved this book. When I was a bit richer, I scraped together what money I could and bought the full anthology. All in all, a 5 star book that every student of computational neuroscience must read. Author has great understanding of the topic.. This book is great. There are a bunch of great tidbits about the other McKay's we love, just enough to satisfy my McKay addiction but not to detract from Ava and Chase's story. As he points out, "It doesn't matter what you're going through in recoverythe fact that you are in recoverymeans that you've already won." This is just the sort of idea that can keep an addict sober. As an addiction researcher and fellow author (I've written four books on alcoholism, including Alcoholism Myths and Realities: Removing the Stigma of Society's Most Destructive Disease), I learned from recovering addicts a simple truth: that "We're not bad people getting good; we're sick people getting better." It's difficult to imagine the pain of early recovery, as the afflicted person begins to remember even a fraction of the damage he or she has created. Interestingly he says that there are no soley pitta or kapha diseases according to Indian pathology, yet every disease will involve vata. You will thank yourself.. I liked this book and would recommend it anyone wanting to better understand the issue

They are considered to be the most highly evolved marine invertebrates and possess elaborate sense organs, large brains and complex behavior. Researchers in animal behavior, marine biology, and neuroscience will find the subject matter especially appealing.. This book surveys the way cephalopods find prey and escape predators, how they reproduce, how they learn, and how they communicate using complex body patterns. There are about 700 species of cephalopods (including the cuttlefishes, squids, octopods, and the chambered nautilus) living throughout the seas of the world. This book examines such behavior, summarizing field and laboratory data from a wide variety of sources in the first comprehensive account of the life of cephalopods in their natural habitats. Throughout, the volume emphasizes the gaps in our knowledge in the hope of stimulating more biologists to study these beautiful and fascinating animals
