(Actually, you know what? You better get this book!). Oh, and also a secret identity, the perfect name, a cool costume, some terrific superpowers, and an archenemy. If you're wondering if you have what it takes to be a superhero--of course you do! All you need is a burning desire to fight evildoersThis is a great extension to the concept of superheroes, allowing students to explore their own "powers" and is an excellent addition to library and classroom collections.—Sarah Knutson, American Canyon Middle School, CA . This highly browsable book features chapters such as, "Your Supername!" and "Acting Like a Superhero!" Entertaining black-and-white comics are peppered throughout. From School Library Journal Gr 5 Up—Much like The Dangerous Book for Boys and The Daring Book for Girls (both HarperCollins, 2007), Superheroes offers a tongue-in-cheek guide to adventure and all things heroic. This book provides insight into popular figures like Iron Man, but also offers offbeat trivia (such as the fact that DC Comic's Captain Marvel is also known as "Shazam," for the powers of heroes and gods he possesses—Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, Mercury). King mixes superhero lore with tips on how to be a superheroHighly disappointed!. I found the chapter on "Other Vendors" interesting comparing Microsoft, Sun, Hewlett Packard, Cisco and others. I liked this book and would recommend it anyone wanting to better understand the issue of smoking and wanting to quit while pregnant.. Everyone needs a map. The author would marry a gentleman named Harold Haizlipp, attend Ivy league schools. We go from the couple's idealistic college days -- they meet on the day of their graduation -- all the way into their late 30s, with all the physical and emotional changes that come during that timespan. 1) Explain what TCI offers that is worth so much blessed money! 2) To grasp why the cable industry is so bad and how it will be so great in the future. I learn best when I am able to read information, then follow up by studying questions and solutions. This fits well with her previous book on color use on maps.. I especially liked the article about using flowers and fish to predict the weather the sort of thing you'd only find in Uncle John. The dialogue is absolutely terrific -- the couple have a teasing/kneedling way of talking to each other and the reparteee between them remains funny and fresh throughout even though the novel is long -- 435 pages. To say much more would be to give too much away. It will help my online and workshop students a lot!Robin Nobles, AuthorDirector of Training of the Academy of Web SpecialistsT
