. Dr.Li specializes in curve, surface and solid modeling. in production engineering and Ph.D. While studying for his master'sdegree at Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xi'an, China, Yong-Ming Lireceived the Sino-British Friendship Scholarship and went to England in 1988 tocontinue his postgraduate study. At the University of Birmingham, he earned anM.Sc. Yong-Ming Li is a senior technical manager at IntergraphCorporation with over 20 years of professional software development experience. Dr. in mechanical engineering with anemphasis on geometric modeling and computer-aided design. He has developed numerousgeometric modeling algorithms to support SolidEdge, SmartPlant, and SmartMarine. He received his B.Eng. inCommon problems associated with parallel computing such as data race conditions, workload balance, synchronization, and parallel slowdown are discussed in detail. Readers will not only learn implementation of numerical methods but also the software development process that includes creating and using a dynamic-link library, designing flexible test drivers, writing scripting tools for productivity, performing and validating an automated test suite. Algorithm efficiency analysis and big O notation will also be discussed. Chapter 3 continues the study of advanced C/C++ programming such as default arguments, data structure and class, double pointers, dynamic memory allocations, and STL containers. The shift to parallel computing leads to fundamental changes in the design of software. Chapter 5 deals with recursive algorithm. Rudimentary undersIt's to bad because I like her other series.. Booms brother who is not quite bright but enjoys a good joke.once he gets it. This is an excellant work of combining photos and true accounts. One of the easiest songs is Irish Rover - it is a great feeling as beginner to be able to play the Irish Rover.. In large part to reduce the complexity often present in current computing environments.Sadly, the message is undermined by signs of hasty writing and slipshod proofreading. And while it's reasonable to skip the IBM-heavy business stuff at the front on a first reading, don't put the book away without going back to it. There could be more. This next item is not a typo. I don't understand everything in this book - but I adored thinking about it, practicing it, sharing it. Should be "complement".Page 183 - "be considered complimentary". Should be "split".Page 177 - "Since it's start". She apparently was so overcome by the interracial socilization going on, in addition to the nature of the party which called for guests to wear costumes revealing as much skin as possible (inspired by the play "Hairspray). The ending was horrible and left you with so many unanswered questions!!!????!!!! It barely made any sense and when it started to it brings you back to square one of not making any sense!!!! I am very disappointed with this book and will be requesting that I get my money back!. I started to skip through soooo many pages. As a veteran software developer with an interdisciplinary education background in engineering and applied mathematics, the author was determined to write a book for those who want to pursue a career in developing computational software for engineering and scientific applications. It appears to the author that there is a gap between academic training and real world computing. In reading this book and completing all of the hands-on programming exercises, readers will gain an assured confidence and the sound programming skills needed to work in a software house or to develop their own computational software. . Readers will learn not only a disciplined way to implement numerical method
